Through our everyday operations, Lincoln National Bank compiles and maintains confidential information on our consumers and customers. It is the policy of Lincoln National Bank to protect the privacy of this information, especially in light of the increasing attempts from outside sources to obtain this information without the consent of the consumer.  Lincoln National Bank will implement strong internal controls, ongoing training and a strict adherence standard to ensure consumer privacy to include a third party vendor confidentiality agreement for all new vendors beyond the date of this policies commencement date. In order to notify our customers of our commitment to guarding their privacy, this policy is available for public review. Bank management and employees express our commitment to consumer privacy and the availability of this policy when communicating with present and potential customers.  Reporting and Marketing Purposes

It is the policy of Lincoln National Bank to comply with federal and state laws and regulations affecting consumer privacy, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Right to Financial Privacy Act. In that respect, bank employees will use, collect and retain information on consumers only when there is an appropriate business purpose to do so. If for marketing purposes, Lincoln National Bank will clearly disclose to affected consumers their right to “opt-out” of this process, thereby further limiting the availability of consumer information to unauthorized parties.

 Maintaining Accurate Information

Lincoln National Bank will provide customer information to third parties only when authorized by the customer or required by law. Further, it is the policy of Lincoln National Bank to maintain updated, complete and accurate information on consumers. Should you ever believe that our records contain inaccurate or incomplete information about you, please notify us. It is the policy of Lincoln National Bank to address any requests to correct any inaccurate information in a timely manner.

 Employee Limitations 

It is the policy of Lincoln National Bank to limit employee access to customer information to  those situations in which there is an appropriate business purpose for the employee obtaining the information. Customer information may not be reviewed simply out of curiosity and may not be shared with others without authorization. The bank’s auditor will monitor employee access to customer information. Management will take appropriate disciplinary measures to ensure adherence to this policy.

Employees shall be trained on an ongoing bass to ensure they are aware of Lincoln National Bank’s stringent privacy protection policy and of the repercussions associated with not complying with this policy.

 Identifying Information

It is the policy of Lincoln National Bank to implement procedures, which enable us to assist customers by telephone concerning their accounts, and, at the same time, protect customer privacy. In order to protect customer privacy, Lincoln National Bank must limit the information provided by phone and the circumstances under which that information will be provided.  Callers must positively identify themselves before they can be provided any information pertaining to their account(s). Procedures are implemented which enable employees to quickly detect whether or not the caller is actually entitled to the requested information.

 Protection of Information

Lincoln National Bank will discard any information, which is not needed, and maintain private information in a form, which protects the customer to the extent possible in case of a burglary. Should Lincoln National Bank suspect any unlawful attempt to obtain a customer’s confidential information, a Suspicious Activity Report will be filed and all appropriate regulators notified. Local law enforcement agencies will be alerted when immediate action is necessary of their awareness is otherwise warranted.

It is the policy of Lincoln National Bank to collect, retain, and use the information about consumers only where such information is believed to be useful and allowed by law to administer the business of Lincoln National Bank to provide products, services, and other financial opportunities to its customers.  Lincoln National Bank has established procedures to ensure the accuracy of consumer’s financial information and that it is current and complete in accordance with reasonable commercial standards. It is the policy of Lincoln National Bank to address any requests to correct any inaccurate information in a timely manner.

 Employee Limitations

It is the policy of Lincoln National Bank to limit employee access to personally-identifiable information to those with a business reason for knowing such information. Lincoln National Bank has in place a training program to educate the employees so that they will understand the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy.

 Protection of Information

Lincoln National Bank maintains appropriate security standards and procedures regarding unauthorized access to customer information.  It is the policy of Lincoln National Bank to take disciplinary measures to enforce employee privacy responsibilities.  It is the policy of Lincoln National Bank not to reveal specific information about a customer account or other personally-identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use, except for the exchange of information with reputable information with reputable information reporting agencies to maximize the accuracy and security of such information or in the performance of bona fide corporate due diligence, unless 1.the information is provided to help complete a customer-initiated transaction; 2. The customer requests it; 3. The disclosure is required by/or allowed by law (i.e. subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, etc.); or 4. The customer has been informed about the possibility of such disclosure for marketing or similar purposes through a prior communication and is given the opportunity to decline “opt-out”. If a third party attempts by artifice or fraud to obtain confidential customer information from Lincoln National Bank, the bank shall file an appropriate Suspicious Activity Report.

 Third Party Relationships

If personally-identifiable customer information is provided to a third party, it is the policy of Lincoln National Bank to insist that the third party adhere to similar privacy principles that provide for keeping such information confidential.

 PRIVACY DISCLOSURE

Lincoln National Bank maintains nonpublic personal information about you, such as social security number, address, phone number and employment, from the following sources:

o        Information we receive from you on applications or other forms;

o         Information about your transactions with us or others; and

o         Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to anyone, except as permitted by law (such as sending information to the Internal Revenue Service, responding to subpoenas and providing information to consumer reporting agencies: i.e. credit bureaus.)

 We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing programs.

The privacy policies and practices as described in this notice will adhere to all applications, closed or inactive accounts.
